Working in pairs, we looked through the texts in Section 2 and completed a mind map with examples of the work the engineering profession involves. Some of the examples we came up with included designing and building structures such as bridges, buildings, and roads, developing new technologies and products, improving existing systems and processes, conducting research and experiments, analyzing data and solving complex problems, and collaborating with other professionals such as architects, scientists, and technicians.

We also discussed how engineering involves a wide range of disciplines, including mechanical, electrical, civil, chemical, and aerospace engineering, among others. Each discipline requires specific skills and knowledge, but all involve creativity, innovation, and a commitment to improving the world around us.

Comparing our ideas with each other, we found that we had similar examples but also some unique ones based on our individual interests and experiences. Overall, we both agreed that engineering is a challenging and rewarding profession that offers endless opportunities for growth and impact.
