Partner 1: Hey, how was your holiday?

Partner 2: Oh my god, it was a disaster. Everything went wrong.

Partner 1: What happened?

Partner 2: Well, first of all, our flight was delayed for six hours. Then when we finally got on the plane, there was a problem with the engine and we had to turn back.

Partner 1: That sounds terrible.

Partner 2: It gets worse. When we finally arrived at our hotel, they had lost our reservation and there were no rooms available.

Partner 1: No way.

Partner 2: Yeah, we had to spend the first night in a dingy hostel. And then, to top it all off, I got food poisoning from a dodgy restaurant.

Partner 1: That’s awful. I’m so sorry.

Partner 2: Yeah, it was a nightmare. But at least I’m back now and can put it all behind me.
